On the Saturday morning Erasmus students and ESA team did the trip to the West part of Cyprus. The trip lasted two days. Students had a chance to visit historical places, see beautiful landscapes and discover Paphos city.
On the way to Paphos the first stop was the Roman amphitheatre on the South shore of the island. We saw the ruins of Kourion city, well-preserved mosaics and the Greco-Roman theatre that is used today for musical and theatrical performances. When we arrived at the hotel in Paphos, everybody had time to settle in. Next we went to the city center to have a lunch, went for a walk at the Harbour, visited Paphos castle and mosaics in the Houses of Dionysos, Theseus and Aion. Before going to enjoy the night life there was SuperJuice pre-party next to the pool. Afterwards we went to the clubs in Paphos downtown and had great party all night long.
Next day we went to the beach outside the city for few hours. We were playing volleyball, football and did other activities like flying a kite, listening to the guitar and some were able to go swimming as well. Lastly we went to Petra tou Romiou that according to the mythology of Cyprus is the birth place of Aphrodite. We walked around and took pictures of beautiful landscape. Moreover some students were able to climb up the Aphrodite’s rock to see the scenery from the top.
ESA team hopes everybody enjoyed the trip and thanks for participating!
